Ryan Welken

Ryan Welken currently serves as a Safety Manager at Shimmick Construction, a position held since September 2022. Prior to this role, Ryan dedicated over 23 years to the United States Marine Corps, where responsibilities included serving as an Intelligence Officer and holding multiple executive positions. In the military, Ryan led and developed high-performance teams to analyze data from various sources, enhancing decision-making processes and risk forecasting. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in Security Studies from the Naval Postgraduate School and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Spanish from the University of Minnesota, along with additional studies at the VEN-USA Institute in Merida, Venezuela, and Fundacion Jose Ortega y Gasset in Toledo, Spain.
