Maribel Herrera

Maribel Herrera is an accomplished engineer and researcher with extensive experience in particle detector design and development. Currently serving as a design and development engineer at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research and a postdoctoral researcher at Universidad de Colima, Maribel has played a key role in international collaborations and the construction of particle detectors. Previously, Maribel pursued a PhD at Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Morelos, focusing on the research and development of wear-resistant materials, and completed a master's degree at Centro Nacional de Investigación y Desarrollo Tecnológico, specializing in low-friction materials. Early career contributions at Fideicomiso Ingenio San Miguelito enhanced operational efficiency through strategic project planning and maintenance. Maribel holds a degree in Mechanical-Electrical Engineering from Universidad Veracruzana.
