Heather Richardson is a seasoned transportation planner with extensive experience in urban and community planning. Currently serving as a Transportation Planner at the Joint Office of Energy and Transportation since April 2022, Heather is involved in implementing the National EV Infrastructure Program, aimed at establishing a network of 500,000 electric vehicle charging stations. Prior to this role, Heather held the position of Community Planner at Volpe, The National Transportation Systems Center since September 2013, and worked as a Transportation Planner at the NYC Department of Transportation from August 2006 to August 2013. Heather's career began as a Public Transportation Planner at TranSystems in 2005. Educationally, Heather holds a Master's degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Policy and Management from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry.
