Louis Lacaille has a diverse work experience. In 2016, they served as a French Air Force Officer at Armée de l'air, where they improved data processing tools for pilots and technicians and developed a software called "Plani'X" to help officers. In 2017, they were the President of X-Forum, where they were in charge of Ecole polytechnique's annual job fair and led a team of 50 students while managing a 650,000 euros budget. In 2018, they worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Lombard Odier Group, where they assisted the multi-asset investment team by developing new tools to automate the investment process and created a user-friendly software to provide new portfolios managing tools to the team. In 2019, they were a Data Scientist Intern at Saint-Gobain, where they worked with the R&D team on an industrial project to optimize the production process and built various machine learning strategies based on different models. In 2020, they were a Consultant and Senior Consultant at AVENCORE. Currently, they are a Business Operations Engineer at Joko, where they leverage technology to help users shop smarter.

Louis Lacaille completed their Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Physics from Collège Stanislas Paris in 2016. Louis then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics from École Polytechnique, which they completed in 2020. In 2019, they also completed a Master of Science in Mathematical Statistics and Machine Learning from ENSAE Paris.
