Juan Barinas

Juan Barinas has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles.

Juan started their career at Sheridan College in 2009, working as a Junior Systems Analyst until 2011.

From there, they joined All Languages Ltd as a Software Developer from January 2012 to May 2013.

Juan then moved to Rakuten Kobo Inc. where they held multiple positions. Juan started as a .NET Developer from October 2013 to September 2016, and later transitioned to the role of Senior Lead Developer from October 2016 to September 2018.

In 2018, Juan joined Blockchain Learning Group Inc. as a Developer and Consultant. During their time there, they worked on the development of a proof of concept blockchain-based land registry system and also served as a mentor for developers in blockchain-focused hackathons.

Most recently, Juan has been working at the Jonah Group as a Technical Developer since October 2018.

Juan Barinas attended McMaster University from 2006 to 2008, where they studied Mathematics and Statistics. Juan then transferred to Sheridan College, where they pursued a degree in Systems Analyst from 2008 to 2011.
