Irene Alegre

Irene Alegre is a Product Designer with a diverse range of work experience. Irene is currently working at JOOR as a Product Designer. Prior to this, Irene worked at Poplar as a Senior Product Designer, where they played a key role in the company's growth from 6 employees to 20 employees. Irene also worked at Wayhome as a UX/UI Designer, where they conducted user interviews and testing sessions to improve internal processes. Before that, Irene worked at carwow as a Product Designer, focusing on B2B products and internal tools. Irene started their career as a UX Designer at Chippin, where they redesigned the landing page and optimized the user flow. Irene also has experience in marketing as a Marketing Campaign Manager & Designer at Onfido, where they contributed to the company's growth and success. Irene started their career as a Publishing Assistant at HopeRoad Publishing and later worked as a Junior Editor at Loft Publications, managing multiple projects concurrently. Irene also gained experience as an Editorial Assistant at Ediciones la Llave. Overall, Irene has a strong background in product design, UX/UI, marketing, and publishing.

Irene Alegre completed a UX Design Immersive program at General Assembly in 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Publishing from 2011 to 2012. Irene also earned a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from Universitat de Barcelona from 2005 to 2011. As part of their undergraduate studies, they participated in the Erasmus Programme at Cardiff University/Prifysgol Caerdydd from 2009 to 2010. Additionally, Irene Alegre completed the first year of Creative Writing and Novel Writing at Aula de Lletres in 2003 and 2004.

In terms of certifications, they obtained a CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English) - C2 level from Cambridge University in July 2009. Irene also holds a Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) certification from Agile Scrum Alliance™, which they obtained in March 2019.
