Leah Martuscelli BSW MIR CHE has a diverse education history. Leah obtained their Bachelor of Social Work degree from King's University College in 1997. Following that, they pursued a Master of Industrial Relations degree at Queen's University, specializing in Industrial Relations from 1997 to 1998. In 2011, Leah completed a Certificate in Adult Education from Sheridan College. Finally, in 2017, they obtained the Certified Health Executive designation from the Canadian College of Health Leaders.

Joseph Brant Hospital (JBH) is a full-service community teaching hospital located in the growing and thriving community of Burlington, Ontario. The hospital serves residents from Burlington and surrounding cities of Hamilton, Waterdown, Flamborough, Milton and Stoney Creek. JBH is one of Hamilton Niagara’s Top Employers for seven consecutive years, with a skilled staff of 194 physicians, 852 nurses, 2,062 full- and part-time staff and more than 200 volunteers. JBH is a Clinical Education site in conjunction with McMaster University, and designated as an Academic Community Teaching Hospital. Its expanded campus, including the state-of-art Michael Lee-Chin & Family Patient Tower, features an Emergency Department, 295 funded inpatient beds, and 9 Operating Rooms. JBH is also a partner member of the Burlington Ontario Health Team.
