David Jones

David Jones is the current Governor at Joseph Chamberlain Sixth Form College. Prior to this, they held a position at Young Professionals from June 2020 to July 2020. Their title there was Young Professionals Work Experience with Arbuthnot Latham & Co Limited.

During their time with Young Professionals, David took part in a week-long online work experience programme consisting of five comprehensive sessions each day with senior members of various companies. These companies included Rolls Royce, the NHS, the RAF, St Tropez, CIMA, IBM, Capgemini and PwC.

The programme taught David and the other participants tips and tricks for success in the corporate world, as well as how to develop essential skills such as resilience, networking, communication effectiveness, teamwork, problem-solving and working under pressure. They were also given guidance on creating a strong CV and personal statements, as well as tips for acing job interviews.

Overall, the experience was beneficial for David and helped him to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to pursue a successful career in business.

David Jones has A-Levels in Business Studies, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics from Joseph Chamberlain Sixth Form College. David also has a GCSE in GCSE from North Birmingham Academy. David has certification from Latham & Watkins in the Latham & Watkins Mergers & Acquisitions Virtual Experience Program, from EtonX in the EtonX Self-Study: Resilience Skill Course, from Goldman Sachs in the Goldman Sachs Engineering Virtual Program, and from KPMG in the KPMG Data Analytics Consulting Virtual Internship.
