Connie Gilbert Rust has worked in a variety of roles since 2016. Connie began their career as a Health & Benefits Analyst at Willis Towers Watson, where they created and analyzed monthly budget reports, tracked healthcare spend for employer benefit programs, and facilitated weekly calls with employer clients. In 2019, they became a Clinical MSW Intern, Program Partner at The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD, where they developed and implemented a strengths-based employment training, budget, and business plan to engage neurodivergent individuals, and provided mental healthcare for teen and adult clients. In 2021, they held internships at Avondale House and The Brookwood Community, where they established best practices for documentation of program offerings, streamlined collaboration between accounting and fundraising departments, and analyzed sales data for artisan products. In the same year, they also became a Clinical MSW Intern at TIRR Memorial Hermann, conducting intake assessments with patients, leading multidisciplinary roundtables, and ensuring care cohesion. Connie currently works as a Client Success Manager and Customer Support Manager at Joshin.

Connie Gilbert Rust has a diverse educational background. Connie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from The University of Texas at Austin between 2011 and 2015 and a Bachelor of Science in Business/Corporate Communications from the same university between 2011 and 2015. Connie is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Social Work from the University of Houston, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
