Melissa Danielsen is the CEO and Co-Founder of Joshin. Melissa has over fifteen years of experience in marketing and sales, with a focus on the entertainment and event industries.

Melissa Danielsen co-founded Josh's Place in December 2011 and served as the company's Co-founder until it was acquired in December 2019. Prior to Josh's Place, Danielsen worked as a Sr. Marketing & Sales Specialist at Comcast from June 2007 to December 2011, developing and executing retail marketing programs while maintaining relationships with major retailers. Danielsen also worked as an Advertising Sales Assistant at E! Networks from June 2003 to June 2004.

In July 2004, Danielsen began working as a Corporate Meeting & Event Planner for Carlson Marketing, where they planned corporate events for clients such as Coca-Cola, Microsoft, Dell, and HP. Melissa left Carlson Marketing in June 2007 to co-found Josh's Place.

Melissa Danielsen has completed a certificate in entrepreneurship essentials from Harvard Business School Online, as well as courses for a Master of Business Administration from Hamline University. Melissa has also completed a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from the University of Minnesota Duluth, and participated in a study abroad program at the University of Birmingham. Finally, they have completed post-secondary education in Communication and Media Studies from The College of St. Scholastica.
