Amy Hiemstra

Amy Hiemstra is an accomplished Art Director at Journal Communications Inc. since December 2014, overseeing creative planning and design production for over 90 magazines annually, ensuring brand consistency, mentoring designers, and implementing process improvements. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Graphic Designer at Journal Communications Inc., a Marketing Graphic Designer at Gresham Smith, a Graphic Designer at RATIO Architects and Artisan, and an Art Director/Production Manager at O'Meara Brown Publications. Amy began a graphic design career at UIC Office of Publication Services. Amy holds a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Illinois Chicago and attended Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
