Cristian Southall

Cristian Southall has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Cristian most recently worked as an Advisor at Rio Tinto and AFG, starting in April 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Chairperson of the Board of Governors at Silver Tree Steiner School since June 2022. In 2021, Cristian worked as an Advisor at FinTech Services Australia and Navitas. From 2018 to 2023, they held multiple roles at Woodside Energy, including Advisor, Management Consultant, and Lead Architect, where they provided strategic direction, architecture governance, and capability development. Cristian also worked as an Advisor at the Department of Health (WA Health) in 2022, and previously in 2021, at the Department of Primary Industries & Regional Development (DPIRD). Cristian's extensive experience also includes roles at JourneyOne, where they served as Chief Technology Officer, Management Consultant, and Enterprise Architect, providing advisory and consultancy services on strategy-driven change delivery and technology adoption.

Cristian Southhall completed a Master of Business Administration degree in Business from Curtin University from 2003 to 2007. Prior to that, from 1992 to 1997, Cristian earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with Honours from the same university, with a focus on English Literature, Professional Writing, Cultural Studies, and Multimedia.

In addition to their formal education, Cristian obtained various certifications, starting from 2009 with the PRINCE2 Foundation certification from the Office of Government Commerce. Other certifications obtained include TOGAF 9 Certified from The Open Group in 2010, and several certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS) such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (2018), AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate (2019), AWS Certified Big Data - Specialty (2019), AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional (2020), AWS Ambassador (2020), AWS Certified Developer Associate (2022), AWS Community Builder (2022), and AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional (2022). Cristian also obtained the Professional Scrum Master certification from Scrum.org in 2018 and the Professional Scrum Product Owner certification in 2019.
