Liza Callahan is a seasoned attorney with extensive experience in immigration law and refugee assistance. Since November 2019, Liza has served as the Afghan Legal Assistance Project Supervising Attorney and Project Manager at Journey's End Refugee Services, Inc. Prior to this role, Liza was self-employed as an Immigration Attorney specializing in pro bono asylum cases from January 2017 to November 2019 and volunteered as an attorney at Vive from November 2016 to May 2018. Liza began their legal career as an Associate Attorney at Goldberg Segalla, holding positions there from May 2002 to May 2004 and again from 2008 to 2011. Liza holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Georgetown University Law Center (1995-1998) and a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Film from the University of Notre Dame (1986-1990).
