Journeys in Community Living
Rachel started with Journeys as a secretary/receptionist in 1996. In 2000, she was promoted to the position of Human Resources Director. Rachel’s present responsibilities include hiring of staff, employment processing, health and wellness benefits, training and development of all employees, records management, and employee relations and retention. Rachel enjoys traveling and working in her yard. Rachel is a Georgia peach from Columbus, Georgia.

Journeys in Community Living is committed to supporting adults with disabilities in choosing and realizing their visions of where and how they live, work and socialize. We operate with the beliefs that all persons with disabilities should have the support necessary to live healthy and secure lives; work at meaningful jobs which they enjoy; live in homes of their own with whom they choose; have friends and other relationships in their lives; and participate in and contribute to their communities. Journeys has been striving for this goal since it was established more than 40 years ago as the Rutherford County Adult Activity Center.
