Marco Stella

Marco Stella has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Marco began their career as a Market Researcher at Mercury Srl - Turistica in 2006, followed by a role as a Cultural Tourism Analyst at the Diocesan Museum of Barcelona and Documentation Centre in 2007. Marco then worked as a Finance Customer Service representative at Citibank later that year. In 2008, Marco joined vLex.com as an Italian and Spanish Market Analyst and Business Development Manager, where they successfully developed new business accounts and formed strategic alliances. From 2013 to 2014, they served as a Corporate Sales Representative at Box, responsible for the Italian and Spanish markets.

In 2014, Marco started working at JoVE, initially as an Account Manager, and was later promoted to Senior Account Manager. Marco'sresponsibilities at JoVE included building relationships with customers, product training and presentations, attending industry conferences, negotiating licenses with academic and government institutions, and implementing marketing strategies. Marco was then promoted to Associate Director of Sales - EMEA, and subsequently to Associate Director of Sales for Southern Europe. Currently, Marco holds the position of Director of Sales, Southern Europe & LATAM at JoVE.

Throughout their career, Marco has demonstrated strong sales and business development skills, as well as experience in market analysis, contract negotiations, and customer support.

Marco Stella has a degree in Tourism Economics from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna. In 2013, they obtained a Cambridge CAE Certificate in English as a Foreign Language (C1 level) from Chichester College. In 2012, they received the FCE Certificate, Anglia Advanced Business English, and Anglia Proficiency General English certificates, also in English as a foreign language (B2 level), from Chichester College. Marco previously attended Istituto Tecnico Commerciale “V.Bachelet” and obtained a Commercial Technician degree. Marco has additional certifications in Anglia Advanced Business English, Anglia Proficiency General English, Cambridge FCE Certificate (B2 level), Cambridge PET certificate, Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) - C1 level, English, Enterprise and Work (including Team Work, Presenting, Business Planning, Creating & selling a product), and Excel Course.
