Fernando Costa

Fernando Costa has been working in the professional world since 2013. In that year, they began working as an Undergraduate Research Fellow at the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). During their time at the UFRJ, they also served as a Teaching Assistant and an Undergraduate Research Fellow. In 2017, they co-founded Jovens Gênios, a more fun and intelligent way to learn. In their role as Cofounder, CTO, and CPO, they used Machine Learning algorithms to identify students' needs and individualize their learning. Fernando also co-founded Legado Consultoria Jr. in 2017, where they serve as the Director of Marketing and Sales. The mission of Legado is to empower and develop students from the UFRJ School of Chemistry through consulting projects for micro, small, and medium-sized businesses.

Fernando Costa has a diverse education history. Fernando completed a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Engenharia Química from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro between 2013 and 2018. In 2015, they also completed a Software Development course from STEP Computer Academy in Ciência da Computação. Fernando continued their education by obtaining a Nanodegree in Natural Language Processing from Udacity in 2021. Fernando is currently pursuing a Mestrado em Ciências da Computação in Inteligência Artificial from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, which they started in 2022. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from Neo4j, Udacity, and Future Education.
