Dr. Benjamin Liebald

Dr. Benjamin Liebald currently serves as Manager Project Management EMEA for the Global Product Line Seatbelt at Joyson Safety Systems, a position held since April 2018. Prior to this role, Dr. Liebald was a Program Manager at Takata AG from October 2015 to April 2018. Dr. Liebald's academic background includes a PhD in Semiconductor Physics from the University of Ulm, where experimental and theoretical research focused on nitride semiconductors for optoelectronic applications, as well as a diploma in Physics from the same institution. During the PhD studies, Dr. Liebald contributed to national and international research projects and published work in scientific journals and at conferences. Additionally, a PhD scholarship from the Carl-Zeiss-Stiftung supported further research on the valence band structure of aluminum gallium nitride.
