Valdene Reddy

Valdene Reddy is the Director of Capital Markets at JSE. Valdene has over 15 years of experience in the financial industry, with a focus on equity derivatives sales and trading.

Valdene began their career at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in February 2005, where they worked in equity derivative sales and trading for 7 years. In August 2012, Valdene joined Renaissance Capital, an investment bank focused on emerging markets, where they worked for 3 years.

In August 2015, Valdene joined JSE, the largest stock exchange in Africa, as the Director of Capital Markets. In this role, Valdene is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the capital markets businesses at JSE.

Valdene Reddy completed a Bachelor of Business Science in Actuarial Science at the University of Cape Town.

They are on a team with Alicia Greenwoord - Director of Post-Trade & Information, Hendrik Kotze - CIO, and Donald Khumalo - Director of HR. Their manager is Leila Fourie, Group CEO.
