Sacha Gera

Sacha Gera has extensive experience in various leadership roles within the technology and telecommunications industry. Sacha is currently the Chief Executive Officer at JSI since 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Director of the Board of Directors at the Ottawa Board of Trade starting in 2022. Sacha also held the position of Director on the Board of Directors at CENGN - Centre of Excellence in Next Generation Networks since 2017.

In terms of their previous positions, Sacha was the President of IT and Cyber Solutions at Calian IT & Cyber Solutions from 2021 to 2023. Before that, they were involved with Kandy Communications where they were the Co-founder and President of Kandy SaaS Communications. Sacha played a key role in leading the company's $115M USD exit and spinout from Ribbon Communications into AVCT. Sacha was also the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Kandy.io at Ribbon Communications, overseeing software R&D, product management, and the P/L for the CPaaS/CCaaS/UCaaS business lines. While at Ribbon Communications, they held various roles, including VP of Product Management, Business Strategy, and Operations.

Sacha's career also includes positions at IBM as a Managing Consultant specializing in strategy and transformation in the telecom sector, and at Blackberry as a Management Consultant. Sacha began their career at Nortel Networks as a Solution Support Engineer, providing support for various routing products.

Sacha Gera holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer-Systems from Carleton University, which was earned between 1999 and 2003. Sacha furthered their education by completing an MBA degree at the Ivey Business School at Western University from 2008 to 2009. In addition, Sacha completed an Accelerated Leadership Program at Nortel Leadership Edge from 2007 to 2008.
