The Finance Department at Jewish Senior Life has a long and varied history, dating back to December 1999 when it was first established as the Controller at CP Rochester. Since then, the department has undergone many changes and grown significantly, now overseeing a $17-million annual budget for a non-profit human services organization with 400 employees and multiple regulators.
The department is responsible for management and operations of the organization’s finance department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, purchasing, and staff supervision. In addition, the department provides full oversight of financial operations and prepares monthly financial statements for 50+ department budgets.
