Beatriz Catalão

Beatriz Catalão is an experienced Application Engineer in Bioprocess at JSR Life Sciences since May 2019, specializing in technical customer support and laboratory experiments. Previously, Beatriz worked as a Research Associate in Downstream Process at Ablynx, focusing on high-throughput purification methods and optimization using Design-of-Experiments methodology. Beatriz has also been involved with the Board of European Students of Technology as a member, promoting diversity and career support among engineering students. Additionally, a research thesis at KU Leuven centered on the immobilization of xylanase on biobased microspheres demonstrates analytical expertise. Beatriz holds a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from both Instituto Superior Técnico and KU Leuven, along with a Bachelor’s Degree in the same field from Instituto Superior Técnico.
