Christine Kamau

Christine Kamau has a diverse work experience in supply chain management and business optimization. Christine started their career as a Quality Assurance Intern at Unilever in 2015, where they learned about quality control processes and analytical methods.

Christine then joined Twiga Foods in 2016 as a Quality Assurance Manager in the Sourcing Meru Region, where they standardized harvesting operations, trained farmers in Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs), and achieved significant reductions in labor costs and produce losses. Christine later became the Quality Assurance Manager & Pack House Operations, where they set up handling manuals and ripening protocols, leading to increased demand for the company's bananas.

At Twiga Foods, Christine also served as an Area Manager in the Kirinyaga_Embu Region, responsible for procurement of fresh fruits and vegetables, farmer acquisition, quality control, and harvest management. Christine acquired over 1000 farmers and ensured 100% system compliance.

Christine then took on roles as a Purchaser/Buyer, where they focused on value chain management, risk management, and stakeholder management, achieving and maintaining high gross profit percentages. Christine also served as a Warehouse Operations Manager, Acting Logistics Manager, and Warehouse Manager, responsible for various warehouse processes, inventory and asset management, and supplier coordination.

In 2018, Christine joined Jumba as a Business Optimization Manager, leading the optimization of warehouse and distribution centers, as well as order aggregation.

Throughout their career, Christine has demonstrated strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills, achieving key objectives on time and within budget.

From 2011 to 2015, Christine Kamau attended Egerton University where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Food Science & Technology. Their field of study was specifically focused on Food Science and Technology.
