Mathew Kunnel

Mathew Kunnel is the current head of business operations at Jumbo. Mathew has previously worked as a management consultant at Deutsche Bank from October 2017 to October 2019, and as an executive at Brunswick Group from July 2015 to October 2017.

Kunnel has extensive experience in strategic communications and investor relations, having worked on high-profile M&A, capital-raising and corporate crises for a range of companies. Highlights from their time at Brunswick Group include a $66B Cross-Border M&A, $500M Global Education Co. IPO & Shareholder Activism Defense of Global Insurance Co.

In their role as a management consultant at Deutsche Bank, Kunnel served as a strategic advisor to the bank’s senior executives. This involved structured problem solving, project management and cross-functional stakeholder engagement to facilitate decision making, executive-level planning, prioritization, operating model design and process optimization.

Mathew Kunnel has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics & Political Science from Brandeis University. Mathew also has an International Baccalaureate from UWC Mahindra College. Mathew has studied abroad in Politics & Economics at the University of Oxford.
