Bernat Gacias

Bernat Gacias is an experienced optimization and software development engineer currently working at JUMP since February 2019. Prior to this role, Bernat served as an Optimization Engineer at Artelys from April 2012 to February 2019, focusing on logistics, transportation, and network consulting and research. Bernat was involved in designing and developing a decision-support tool for maintenance operations. Additionally, Bernat completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Optimization and Operational Research at Ecole nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, where the project centered on managing a fleet of electric taxis, addressing real-time charging constraints. Bernat also holds a PhD in Computer Systems from Laboratoire d'Analyse et d'Architecture de Systèmes, with research focused on transportation scheduling and decision-support systems. Educational background includes a degree in Aeronautical Techniques from ENAC and an Industrial Engineering degree from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
