Charley Pinkerton

Charley Pinkerton began their career as a Software Engineer at Laidlaw Environmental Services/USPCI in 1994 and worked there until 2000. Charley then joined IBM Rational Software as a Senior Software Engineer from 2000 to 2003. In 2003, Charley joined Intuit Eclipse as a Senior Software Engineer, where they developed components for an enterprise resource planning system. Charley worked at Intuit Eclipse until 2004.

After that, Charley worked at Solarwinds (formerly Confio Software) from 2004 to 2016. Charley held various roles, including Senior Software Engineer, Distinguished Engineer, and Principal Architect. At Solarwinds, Charley was responsible for designing and prototyping new features, ensuring adherence to architectural quality, and leading the transformation to a Java-based multi-tier architecture.

In 2016, Charley joined JumpCloud as a Senior Software Engineer. Charley then progressed to the role of Principal Software Engineer in 2017 and became the Chief Architect in March 2020.

Charley Pinkerton obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering from Lafayette College from 1987 to 1991. Later, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, studying from 1991 to 1993. In addition to their formal education, Charley has obtained several certifications, including "MongoDB for Java Developers" from MongoDB, Inc. in July 2015, "Programming Cloud Services for Android Handheld Systems" from Coursera in September 2014, "Programming Mobile Applications for Android Handheld Systems" from Coursera in March 2014, and "Cryptography I" from Coursera in October 2012.
