Software Engineering Manager at JumpCloud

Dan Fifield started their work experience at VSU Satellite Services in 2006 as a Production Assistant, where they produced a Coaches show and directed live classrooms for distant students. Dan then worked as a Master Control Operator at Crawford Communications from 2009 to 2012, performing playback and monitoring functions for multiple 24/7 server-based broadcast channels.

In 2012, Fifield joined Encompass Digital Media, Inc. as an Account Manager, where they developed and maintained positive working relationships with network clients and supervised the Network Origination staff. Dan later became a Network Operations Supervisor, overseeing 50+ networks and ensuring the functionality of various playout and automation platforms.

From 2016 to 2017, Fifield worked at The Weather Channel as a Master Technician. Dan then joined BetterCloud in 2017 as a Senior Functional Analyst in Quality Assurance. In 2018, they transitioned to the role of Scrum Master, where they created plans to improve team processes, led meetings, organized activities, and facilitated communication between stakeholders. Dan also worked closely with product owners to plan team goals and ensure resource availability.

Currently, Fifield holds the position of Software Engineering Manager at JumpCloud, starting in 2022.

Dan Fifield has a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Mass Media from Valdosta State University. In addition, they have obtained various certifications, including being Google Admin Certified from Google in June 2017, and being a Certified Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance in May 2018.
