Mark Newcomb

Mark Newcomb has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Mark started their career at Wichita State University as an Audio/Recording Engineer. Mark then worked as a Music Teacher, Instrumental at Adams 12 Five Star Schools.

Mark then transitioned into web development and attended Front Range Community College for Web Development training. Mark worked as a Student there and gained knowledge in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQUERY, UI/UX, and Thinking Like a Developer.

After their education, Mark worked as a Sr. Web Designer at Goozmo, Inc., where they focused on frontend web development and logo design. Mark built and maintained hand-built websites, worked with WordPress (including custom coding), and Magento.

Mark then worked at Insight Designs Web Solutions, LLC as a Producer, where they migrated several WordPress sites and maintained clients' websites. Mark also used version control and coordinated with web hosting providers.

Following that, Mark joined MillerSmith as a Web Developer, where they built custom responsive WordPress themes for large clients and managed an offshore team for weekly WordPress plugin maintenance. Mark also coded a static prototype for a mobile app.

Mark continued their career at OpenText as a UI Developer, where they contributed to the main legal E-Discovery software application Insight. Mark built features, fixed bugs, and resolved numerous tickets across the application. Mark also built a completely reworked 2D Doughnut chart using D3.

Most recently, Mark Newcomb joined AUTOPAY as a JavaScript Developer, where they focused on JavaScript development.

Currently, Mark is currently employed at JumpCloud as a Software Engineer III. The details of their role are not specified.

Mark Newcomb has a diverse education history in the field of technology and music. Mark completed a Web Development Immersive program with a focus on Full Stack Web Development at Galvanize Inc in 2018. In 2016, Mark obtained a MEAN Stack certification from CodeCraft School of Technology, which emphasized JavaScript. Prior to this, they earned a WebLab Backend Bootcamp Certificate from Front Range Community College in 2015, where they gained knowledge in PHP, SQL, and Linux.
