Courteney Real

Courteney Real is a Senior Associate at Jumpstart Health Investors, working with early-stage healthcare startups. Real works on deal sourcing, investment reviews, and portfolio support while leading the Associate team.

Prior to her role at Jumpstart, Real led the Corporate Venture Team at Capital Factory Ventures, connecting large corporate partners with startups and emerging technologies. Before her role at Capital Factory, Real held an Investor Relations role at Portfolia, a venture fund focused on Women becoming Limited Partners. Real helped raise 3 funds while in this position, a generalist fund, an active aging fund, and the first venture fund led by five women of color.

Earlier in her career, Real worked as an Entrepreneur In Residence for Tim Draper’s accelerator, DraperU, helping global entrepreneurs connect to resources in Silicon Valley. In her senior year of college, Real started Trader Jacks, a software platform to manage vacation rentals. Trader Jacks was acquired by TurnoverBnB where Real joined as Co-Founder and Chief Revenue Officer. Real helped the company raise funding and get into Blue Ventures Accelerator.

Real graduated from Arizona State University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Finance, Enterputership, and Business Management with a certificate in International Business.
