Janessa Huddleston

Janessa Huddleston has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries.

Starting in 2002, they worked as a Copy Editor and later served as the Chief Copy Editor at Louisiana State University's campus newspaper. In these roles, they managed a team of copy editors, selected and trained new staff, and edited stories for content and grammar.

In 2004, Janessa joined the Institute on Violence, Abuse, and Trauma, where they worked as an Assistant Editor until 2009. During this time, they also held the position of Director of Publications & Dissemination at the Institute on Violence, Abuse, and Trauma at Alliant International University. In this leadership role, they coordinated the pre-publication process for various journals and specialized books, acted as the Managing Editor of the Family Violence and Sexual Assault Bulletin, and managed a team of editorial assistants and assistant editors.

From 2007 to 2011, Janessa contributed to HP Enterprise Services in various capacities. Janessa worked as an Editor II, where they wrote articles for internal communication and conducted work product reviews. Janessa also served as a Technical Writer and Business Analyst, contributing to the development of report specifications and managing administrative aspects of reports.

In 2015, Janessa joined the Institute on Violence, Abuse, and Trauma once again, this time as an Assistant Editor. In this role, they worked until 2019, gaining valuable experience in editorial work.

Janessa's most recent work experience was with The June Care Company, where they started in 2022. In this position, they serve as an Ambassador Mom and handles marketing responsibilities.

Janessa Huddleston obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Louisiana State University from 1999 to 2003. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Alliant International University-San Diego Campus, completing it from 2003 to 2005.
