In 2015, Janessa joined the Institute on Violence, Abuse, and Trauma once again, this time as an Assistant Editor. In this role, they worked until 2019, gaining valuable experience in editorial work.

Janessa's most recent work experience was with The June Care Company, where they started in 2022. In this position, they serve as an Ambassador Mom and handles marketing responsibilities.

Janessa Huddleston obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Louisiana State University from 1999 to 2003. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Alliant International University-San Diego Campus, completing it from 2003 to 2005.
