Alex Handley

Alex Handley has a diverse work experience spanning from 2006 to the present. Currently, they are working as a Principal Engineer at Jungle Scout since June 2020. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Tech Lead at Jungle Scout from February 2019 to June 2020. Before joining Jungle Scout, Alex worked as a Senior Data Engineer at Travelling from November 2018 to February 2019. Alex also held the same position at Memrise from February 2018 to November 2018, where they played a crucial role in establishing the data team and educating the company on GDPR. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Data Engineer at Wonderbly from October 2016 to January 2018, where they significantly improved the ETL pipeline success rate and led a validation project for finance reporting accuracy. Additionally, at Wonderbly, Alex worked as a Development Team Lead from July 2015 to October 2016, where they played a key role in starting a team to address customer post-purchase behaviors and coached the product manager and other developers in Agile sprints. Before their roles at Wonderbly, they served as a Co-Founder and Fullstack Developer at Serious Fox, a consultancy, from an unspecified start date in 2009 to May 2015. At Serious Fox, they focused on promoting best practices and improving the development process. Alex's earlier experiences include working as an Embedded Systems Researcher at the University of Greenwich in July 2010 and as a System Administrator at DH2uk from an unspecified start date in 2006 to March 2009.

Alex Handley completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Computer Science at the University of Greenwich from 2006 to 2009. Prior to that, Alex obtained certifications in CCNA, Comptia Security+, Cisco Instructor, and Oracle Database Designer at The Leigh Technology Academy. Additionally, Alex received the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services in February 2021.
