Martin Kristiansen

Martin Kristiansen is currently the VP of Engineering at Juni Learning. Prior to that, they were the Director of Video Intelligence at Twitch from February 2019 to September 2021. In that role, they were responsible for building and managing the Applied Science Team, which creates models for realtime decision making, optimization, and forecasting; the Data Engineering team, which is responsible for building and maintaining data infrastructure and data pipelines; and the Data Analytics team, which supports product and business teams in making data-driven decisions.

Before their time at Twitch, Kristiansen was a Software Engineering Manager at NerdWallet from June 2017 to December 2018. In that role, they participated in designing a federated data layer and enabled their own team as well as other teams in the organization to leverage that system. This enabled faster iteration and decoupling of teams so they could move independently. Martin's focus was growing the skills and careers of their direct reports by making sure their projects were highly aligned with long term company priorities.

Martin Kristiansen completed a Master of Science in Computer Science at Aarhus University, followed by a Bachelor of Science in the same field at the same school. Prior to that, they completed a High School Diploma in Science at Thisted Gymnasium and Thylands Ungdomskole.
