Ashwin Kovummal

Ashwin Kovummal is an experienced technology executive serving as Group Vice President of Security at Juniper Networks since January 2002, overseeing the global engineering team and the security portfolio. Previously, Ashwin held various leadership roles, including Vice President of Engineering, where responsibilities included managing global teams for Security, Routing services, and Subscriber management products, and delivering advanced products in Security, 5G, and Broadband Edge. Early in the career at Juniper, Ashwin served as Sr. Director of Engineering for Edge Networks and Director of Product Management for Virtualization, with significant contributions in system architecture. Prior experience includes co-founding Vigilant Networks and leading engineering efforts to bring innovative products to market. Ashwin holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship from Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business, a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, and a Postgraduate Degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
