JCCS Certified Public Accountants and Business Advisors is looking for motivated professionals to join their Client Advisory team.

Client Advisory Services

We work closely with each of our clients to design a cloud-based solution that is well-suited to their specific industries and the demands of their business.

Position Summary

In this position, you are responsible for the client’s payroll and financial reporting needs. Duties include processing payroll, preparing quarterly and annual payroll reports, accounting services, preparation of financial statements, and other accounting projects for a variety of clients. 

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs detailed payroll functions for clients according to deadlines. This may include check processing, and quarterly payroll reports for various states and federal, for review. Compiles information for reporting purposes, journal entry and/or preparing correspondence.
  • Completes data entry for monthly and quarterly accounting and financial statements for timely deadlines and review process. Processes and distributes 1099s and W-2s at year end.
  • Completes and maintains complex general ledgers and financial reports, and assists with year-end payroll, as required.
  • Complies with IRS, state and federal tax requirements, wage and hour, and researches clients’ questions for accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepares compilation reports for year-end, ready for tax preparation, prior to review.
  • May assist clients with off-site or office location bank reconciliations, payroll, A/R and A/P, and other bookkeeping functions.
  • Builds relationships with clients and interacts with integrity and honesty.
  • Attends training and keeps up to date with industry, state and federal, and IRS changes.
  • Helps coordinate the delivery of services with other CAS/APP staff.
  • Assists senior staff in various accounting projects.
  • Provides back up for other accounting staff, and may back-up front office, as needed.
  • Begins to develop marketing contacts for new clients and providing additional services for existing clients through community involvement and direct contact on a weekly basis.
  • Performs other duties, responsibilities and activities as assigned.

To Qualify:

  • Applicants must demonstrate advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks Desktop, and QuickBooks Online.
  • Advanced experience with double-entry accounting, payroll, A/R, A/P, bank reconciliations, and data entry.
  • Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Two (2) years of accounting experience
  • Two (2) years of payroll processing experience
  • Two (2) years of financial statement preparation, preferred

Skills for Success:

  • Comfort working with a variety of software, and eager to learn new technology.
  • Must be accurate, have a strong attention to detail, be accountable, show excellent customer service and teamworking skills.
