Michelle Salas, MBA, RDN, LD has a wealth of experience in the nutrition field. Michelle began their career in 2003 as a Clinical Dietitian at Cristus St. Joseph Hospital/ Dubuis Long Term Acute Care Hospital. In 2004, they took on the role of Clinical Nutrition Manager and Clinical Dietitian at Morrison Healthcare Food Services; Providence Memorial Hospital. In 2008, they joined University Medical Center of El Paso as a RD. LD. Clinical Systems Analyst and Chief Clinical Dietitian. That same year, they also began working as a Consultant Dietitian for Doyon Security. In 2009, they were a Clinical Dietitian at Thomason Hospital. From 2016 to 2019, they worked as a Consultant Registered Dietitian for both EL PARQUE ADULT DAY CARE INC and EL PALACIO ADULT DAY CARE, LLC. Currently, they are an Applications and Project Manager at Junum.
Michelle Salas obtained a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition from New Mexico State University. Michelle then obtained a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) certification from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in October 2005. Michelle also completed additional training at AMIA- Oregon Health & Science University & American Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. In 2020, Salas obtained an Executive MBA from The University of Texas at El Paso and completed additional training at Texas Woman’s University.
