MacLen Marvit

Maclen Marvit is an experienced engineer and leader with a diverse background in AI, machine learning, and software development. Maclen has held various roles throughout their career, starting as a Senior Software Engineer at NASA's Jet Propulsion Labs and later becoming a Principal Engineer at JustAnswer. In their most recent role at JustAnswer, Maclen conceived, designed, and managed the development of AI-based systems that significantly increased company revenue and improved customer messaging results. Prior to JustAnswer, Maclen served as the Chief Technology Officer at SapientX, where they developed prototypes and managed the development of back-end language processing systems. Maclen also co-founded and served as the Technical Lead of Photonic Sentry, where they achieved remarkable efficacy in killing mosquitoes using laser technology. In addition, Maclen has worked at companies like Intellectual Ventures, A9 (Amazon search), Blue Origin, Disappearing Inc., Worlds Inc., and Knowledge Adventure, contributing to a range of innovative projects and technologies.

Maclen Marvit has a BS degree in Physics and E&AS from Caltech. Maclen has also pursued continuing education in Computer Science at Caltech, UC Irvine, and Yale University.
