Melissa Stone

Melissa Stone is an accomplished graphic designer and educator with extensive experience in both freelance and institutional settings. Currently serving as an Instructor of Graphic Design at Justin-Siena High School since August 2023, Melissa has a long-standing freelance practice at bigbraingirl ::: TransMedia Design & Illustration since 1997. Past roles include Graphic Designer for the Sonoma International Film Festival and multifaceted positions at After the Fire (ATF3R) from 2019 to 2022, as well as Graphics & Production Manager at World Products Inc. for over a decade. Melissa also has experience in academia as an Assistant Professor in the Art Department at Minnesota State University, Mankato, from 2003 to 2006. Educational credentials include a Master of Fine Arts in Media Design Practices from ArtCenter College of Design and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design & Photography from California College of the Arts.
