Takuya Otani

Takuya Otani has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Takuya started their career at NEC as a Development Engineer in 1998 and worked there until 2003. Takuya then joined Navman as a Software Engineer from 2003 to 2007. After that, they worked at Navman Technology NZ Ltd as a Senior Software Engineer and later as a Software Team Lead from 2008 to 2011.

In 2011, Takuya joined Orion Health as a Senior Software Engineer, where they designed and developed mobile applications for Orion Health Platforms. Takuya also served as a technical lead and mentor for the development and testing teams.

From 2013 to 2015, Takuya worked at Evernote as a Senior Software Engineer. Takuya then joined Pushpay as a Senior iOS Developer from 2015 to 2018.

In 2018, Takuya joined Algorithm Team Ltd as a Senior Software Engineer. Takuya then worked as a Senior Software Engineer on a contract basis at Zozo New Zealand Ltd from 2019 to 2020.

Takuya's most recent role is at justInCase, Inc., where they started in 2017. Takuya has held the position of Software Engineer Lead / Manager. In this role, they have been responsible for managing a team, designing software architecture, and developing web frontend and mobile applications. Takuya has also been involved in UI/UX design, mentoring other developers, and investigating technical trends.

Takuya Otani received their Master's degree in Engineering from Kyushu Institute of Technology, where they studied from 1991 to 1997.
