Laura Peele has over 18 years of work experience in the field of information technology. Laura currently serves as the Director of Information Technology at Juvenile Welfare Board since January 2019. In this role, they oversee technology-related projects and provides support for the organization's IT systems.

Prior to their current position, Laura worked at Juvenile Welfare Board as a Senior Systems Project Manager from January 2011 to December 2014. During this time, they led and guided both technical and cross-functional teams in the development and implementation of various software systems and upgrades. Laura specifically played a key role in implementing a mission-critical data collection system for tracking budgets, reimbursements, and participant services and outcomes for funded agencies.

Before their role as a Senior Systems Project Manager, Laura was a Program Data Analyst at Juvenile Welfare Board from July 2007 to December 2010. In this position, they designed and developed the company's data warehouse, incorporating data sets from over 60 different organizations and government agencies. Laura also established data quality control standards and rules to enhance the quality of data received into the warehouse. Laura specialized in developing reports and dashboards using SQL Reporting Services (SSRS) and various Business Intelligence tools.

Laura's earlier work experience includes serving as a Systems Administrator and Database Administrator for the Florida Children's Services Councils from July 2001 to June 2007. In this role, they maintained and administered a county software system, managing tasks such as database backups, monitoring, tuning, replication, and design. Laura was also responsible for maintaining over 200 Active Directory/Exchange user and group accounts.

Laura Peele, CGCIO, obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Business Intelligence and Analytics from Nova Southeastern University in 2015. Laura also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Technology Management from St. Petersburg College. Additionally, they have an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree from St. Petersburg College and an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in IT Management. Laura is currently pursuing a Certified Government Chief Information Officer (CGCIO) degree in IT Leadership from Florida State University - Florida Institute of Government, which they will complete in 2024. Laura previously completed a CGCIO program in Information Technology Leadership from Florida State University - The Florida Institute of Government between 2016 and 2021. Laura also obtained a Certified Government Chief Information Officer (CGCIO) certification from Florida State University in 2018. In 2021, Laura obtained a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education.
