Jeferson Fernandes, MSc.

Jeferson Fernandes, MSc. has over 20 years of work experience in the telecom and technology industries. From 2000 to 2008, they worked as a Telecom Specialist at Claro, where they were responsible for the planning and evolution of several service platforms. Jeferson also planned the evolution and expansion of VAS platforms, managed the RFP and roll-out of video services in 3G network, and designed and managed the project to make VAS platforms prepared for number portability. From 2008 to 2012, they worked as a Marketing Specialist at TIM Brasil, where they were the Product Manager in charge of Mobile Internet. During this time, they managed the go-to-market and post-launch of the most disruptive offer of Mobile Internet in Brazil, developed white label apps and mobile sites to speed up the adoption of mobile internet in smartphones and feature phones, and designed and managed the go-to-market of the first blackberry plan for prepaid users. From 2012 to 2017, they worked as an Engagement Director at Upstream, where they were accountable for the most profitable account of the company. During this time, they managed E2E the most profitable mobile campaign of the company, and managed E2E the 1st multi-carrier mobile campaign of Upstream in Brazil in 2 out of the 4 major Brazilian MNOs. From 2017 to 2019, they worked as a Head of Business Development at Neomobile, and as a Senior Account Manager at IDEMIA. Since 2019, they have been working as a Senior Account Director at Juvo, where they are accountable for Juvo airtime lending program, has exceeded US$5M of amount lent and 1. 5M borrowers in monthly basis, and launched the first airtime lending service in Whatsapp in Brazilian Market.

Jeferson Fernandes, MSc. completed their Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul between 1995 and 1999. Jeferson then went on to obtain their Master of Science (M.S.) in Industrial Engineering from the Universidade Federal Fluminense in 2008.
