David Lapalomento

David LaPalomento is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in engineering and operations. As the CTO of JW Player since August 2021, David has demonstrated expertise in driving innovation and strategic initiatives. Previously, David served as VP of Engineering at Brightcove from September 2011 to August 2020, overseeing a global reorganization to enhance product development. In earlier roles at Brightcove, including Director of Engineering, David successfully launched a cloud-based video delivery platform. David's experience also includes a tenure as Lead Frontend Engineer at Novell, where contributions included co-inventing user experience innovations filed with the US Patent Office. David began a career in software engineering with positions at Jackpot Rewards, Inc. and Hewlett-Packard. Educationally, David holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin.
