Samanthi Wickramarachchi

Samanthi Wickramarachchi is an experienced physics educator currently serving as a Visiting Assistant Professor at K College since January 2016, where responsibilities include teaching Introductory Physics I and Classical Dynamics with a lab section. Previous experience includes a position as a Physics Instructor at Kalamazoo Valley Community College and a Doctoral Teaching Assistant at Western Michigan University's Department of Physics from September 2009 to July 2015, focusing on undergraduate lab courses. Samanthi has also worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, specializing in solid-state physics research related to polymer electrolytes, and served as a Teaching Assistant at the Open University, Nawala. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Material/Atomic Physics and a Master of Arts in Physics from Western Michigan University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka.
