Huma Soomro

Huma Soomro currently serves as the General Manager and Head of Corporate Legal at K-Electric, a position held since December 2022, where leadership is provided to the Corporate and Commercial Legal Team, focusing on a wide range of legal support including contract review, drafting, and negotiation. Previously, Huma held the role of Senior Associate at Vellani & Vellani from 2015 until December 2022, and worked as an Associate at the same firm from 2004 to 2011. Additionally, early career experience includes positions as a Paralegal at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and an Associate at Haidermota & Co. Huma's legal education includes a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from King's College London, and a Barrister at Law qualification from the College of Law in London (Lincoln’s Inn). Early education was completed at Karachi Grammar School, with O and A-Level qualifications.
