David Spohr

David Spohr has a strong background in operations, compliance, and finance within the investment industry. David has extensive experience in managing and overseeing various aspects of business operations, including technology, risk oversight, accounting, tax, compliance, and client service.

Their most recent position was as the K2 Head of Operations at K2 Advisors, where they were responsible for delivering operational and technology solutions for institutional and liquid alternative client solutions. David also served on several committees, including operations, credit, valuation, vendor, and investment compliance. Additionally, they collaborated with other departments to improve controls, reduce costs, and innovate the operating platforms.

Prior to that, David worked as the Managing Director at Adherence Consulting Group, LLC, where they provided chief compliance officer and chief financial officer solutions to various investment advisory and brokerage firms. David also served as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer at Kenmar Olympia, LLC, overseeing operations, risk oversight, accounting, tax, and compliance.

David's career includes a position as the Senior Vice President and Director of Fund Administration at Kenmar Olympia Group, where they managed operations, accounting, and technology for an alternative investment firm. David also actively managed relationships with key service providers and oversaw audits, SEC/NFA filings, and tax filings.

Earlier in their career, David served as the Head of Middle Office at Safra National Bank of New York, where they were responsible for middle-office functions.

David Spohr attended SUNY Oneonta from 1981 to 1985, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Economics. In 1998, they obtained certification from the CFA Institute.
