Michael Rich, CFA has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Michael began their career as a Maccabi Games Sports Operations Intern at the Stamford Jewish Community Center in 2006. In 2009, they worked as a Marketing Intern at Aflac before joining the University System of Maryland Foundation, Inc as an Investment Intern in 2011.

Since then, Michael has been associated with K2 Advisors, where they have held multiple roles. Michael started as a Research Associate in 2011 and worked their way up to become a Senior Research Analyst in 2018. In this role, they focused on ILS, Commodities, and Environmental Strategies. Michael continued to excel and became the Head of ILS, Commodities, & Environmental Strategies in 2021, leading a team of analysts. Currently, they hold the position of Managing Director - Head of ILS, Commodities, & Environmental Strategies at K2 Advisors, showcasing their expertise in these areas.

Michael Rich, CFA has a Bachelor's degree in Finance, General from the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business, which they obtained from 2007 to 2011. Michael also holds additional certifications including the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder designation, which they received from the CFA Institute in August 2015, and the Series 3 certification from FINRA, which they obtained in November 2021.
