Dean Perrin joined K2 in September 2006 as Vice-President and focuses on merger arbitrage, special situation investments, and credit opportunities. Dean acts as the Chief Investment Officer for both The K2 Principal Fund L.P. and The K2 Principal Trust. Prior to joining the team, Dean worked at RBC Capital Markets in the equity research group and at the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board. Dean holds an Honours Economics degree from the University of Western Ontario, and is a CFA charterholder.
