Heath Arvidson

Heath Arvidson has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the geoscience and mining industries. Heath currently holds the position of Chief Geoscientist at K2fly since November 2020. Prior to this, they worked at the same company as the Mining Solutions Manager from February 2020 to November 2020.

Before joining K2fly, Heath was a student at The University of Western Australia starting from November 2019.

Heath also has experience working in the mining industry, having worked for Anglo American from January 2015 to September 2019. In this role, they led mining geoscience and reconciliation practices across the company's global portfolio, providing guidance and influencing corporate executives and senior managers. Additionally, they led the Safety, Health, Environment, and Community function for Group Discovery and Geoscience for 9 months in the same company.

Heath's previous experience includes working as a Group Manager for Mining Engineering and Geology at Golder Associates from July 2012 to October 2014. Heath managed a team of consultants providing services in mine engineering, geology, and business development.

Prior to that, Heath worked at BHP Billiton Iron Ore, first as the Manager of Geological Services from January 2011 to June 2012, and then as a Resource Geologist from August 2002 to December 2010. At BHP Engineering, they worked as a Consultant Geologist from August 1997 to April 2002, where they contributed to resource modeling projects.

Heath's early career includes roles as a Mine Geologist at Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines from January 1991 to August 1997, and as a Mine Geologist at Sons of Gwalia from October 1989 to January 1991.

Heath Arvidson pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from The University of Western Australia from 1987 to 1989.
