Thomas H. Glocer

Tom Glocer is the founder and managing partner of Angelic Ventures, LP, a family office focusing on early-stage investments in financial technology, media, “big data,” and healthcare.

From April 2008 through December 2011, Mr. Glocer was CEO of Thomson Reuters Corp., the leading news and professional information provider. Thomson Reuters was formed upon the acquisition of Reuters Group PLC, where Mr. Glocer became CEO in 2000 following a series of international executive roles.

Prior to joining Reuters in 1993, Mr. Glocer was a mergers and acquisitions lawyer at Davis Polk & Wardwell in New York, Paris, and Tokyo. He was admitted to the New York Bar in 1984, the bar of the United States Supreme Court in 2010, and the American Law Institute in 2011.

Mr. Glocer is a member of the board of directors of Merck & Co., Morgan Stanley, K2 Intelligence, Adfin Corp., and the Council on Foreign Relations; in addition, he is a trustee of the Cleveland Clinic, and a member of the Business Council, the Columbia College Board of Visitors, the President’s Council on International Activities at Yale University, the Advisory Board of the Judge Institute of Management at Cambridge University, the European Business Leaders Council, the International Advisory Board of British American Business Inc., the Atlantic Council International Advisory Board, and the Madison Council of the Library of Congress.

Mr. Glocer holds a J.D. from Yale Law School (1984) and a B.A. in political science from Columbia University (1981).
