Lauren G. has a diverse work experience across various industries. Lauren began their career as a Primary Teacher at Archdiocese of Chicago in 2012 and worked there until 2014. Following that, they transitioned to Chicago Public Schools as an English Second Language Teacher, where they worked for six years until 2020. Lauren then joined Des Plaines School District 62 as a Reading Specialist, serving for one year until 2021. In 2023, they shifted their career towards cybersecurity and worked as a Cybersecurity Awareness and Training Coordinator at HacWare for a few months. This was followed by a role as a Cybersecurity Curriculum Manager at Infosec for a brief period. Currently, Lauren holds the position of a Security Awareness and Training Analyst at K2United.

Lauren G. holds a Master of Education (M.Ed) degree in Reading Specialist from National Louis University. Lauren also earned a Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T) degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from the same university. Prior to pursuing their graduate studies, Lauren obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Parks, Recreation and Leisure Facilities Management from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. In addition to their academic achievements, Lauren has obtained several certifications in the field of cybersecurity, including the GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), the GIAC Foundational Cybersecurity Technologies (GFACT), the CompTIA Security+ ce Certification, and the Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) certification. These certifications were obtained between January and April of 2023.
