Job description

We are seeking a Sales Development Representative to join our sales team and drive new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales and technology and be able to effectively communicate the value of our MSP services to potential clients.

This role includes calling prospects, enrolling prospects in automated CRM sequences that will contact them via email, completing assigned tasks in the CRM platform, and booking discovery calls. There is a strong requirement for obtaining the most complete data possible for the prospect (such as current contract end dates, contact information for decision makers, pain points with incumbent providers, etc.).

Responsibilities:

  • Generate new leads through outbound sales activities including cold calling, emailing, and social media outreach.

  • Qualify leads and schedule appointments for the sales team.

  • Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of the MSP industry and our services.

  • Collaborate with the sales team to achieve monthly and quarterly sales goals.

  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and lead activity in our CRM.

  • Prospect and generate new qualified appointments that will funnel into our proven process model

  • Collaborate with management to create strategic programs and incentives for lead generation. (Chamber of Commerce, vertical markets, etc)

  • Attend networking events, and applicable online webinars

  • Collaborate with assigned staff from Solutions team to schedule and conduct Technical Assessment as part of the proven process

  • Identify decision-makers

  • Increase knowledge of industry, competitors, and market

  • Utilize social media effectively (such as LinkedIn) to connect with prospects and gain more information on needs of their company

  • Build and execute effective list management in our CRM for prospecting new business

  • Manage website visitors via Hubspot and complete the lead nurturing process

  • Collect actionable and marketable data on prospects and input in HubSpot for future campaigns (current provider, contract expiration, decision maker, etc).

  • Research companies and leads; improve data that may currently exist in CRM

  • Contribute to the perpetual enhancement of sales documentation frameworks and standard operating procedures

  • Develop an understanding of the Core Managed story, sales process, and key differentiators and be able to articulate it

  • Prospecting: Ability to research and identify potential prospects and engage with them through cold calling, emailing, and social selling.
  • Relationship building: Capability to build strong relationships with prospects, understand their needs, and drive their interest in the product.
  • Adaptability: Ability to quickly adapt to change, be resilient and persistent in the face of rejection and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Time management: Ability to prioritize and manage a high volume of daily tasks, including outreach, follow-ups, and record keeping.
  • Team player: Collaborative approach to work and ability to contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
  • Technical: Familiarity with sales enablement and customer relationship management (CRM) tools to manage sales pipeline and track performance.
  • Analytical: Ability to analyze data and metrics to optimize sales processes and increase efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, preferably in the MSP industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and basic marketing automation tools. Preferably HubSpot
  • Associate degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
