Juan Carlos Melo Luna

Juan Carlos Melo Luna is an experienced professional in the fields of GIS and cartography, currently serving as a Data Quality Associate at Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team since April 2023 and as a Cartography Editor at Kaart since May 2021. With a strong academic background, including a Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Environmental Engineering from Escuela Colombiana de Ingeniería Julio Garavito, Juan Carlos has held various roles such as GIS Project Manager and Professor at Instituto Geografico Agustin Codazzi. Juan Carlos has also contributed as a GIS Specialist and has taught multiple courses at Universidad Francisco de Paula Santander. Over the years, experience has involved leading geomatics projects, developing geographic information systems, and consulting on hydrological modeling.
